Seeds: Hyacinth Bean, Hudson Valley, Ruby Moon Hyacinth Bean
A highly ornamental flowering vine with shimmering bronze foliage, fuchsia flowers, and shiny burgundy seed pods sets prolific beauty until late in the season. The perfect backdrop to changing fall foliage. Hyacinth Bean's height makes it a stunning plant to train on trellising in ornamental landscapes. The leaves, seedpods, and flowers are also popular in floral design work. Can also be grown in larger container planting.
NOTE: This variety is intended as an ornamental. Flowers can be steamed or eaten raw, but beans contain a trypsin inhibitor that can be toxic if the beans are not well-boiled before eating.
